Bay-Keramik, Ransbach-Baumbach Eduard Bay founded a ceramic factory in Ransbach in 1933. This small company grew and successfully started to produce ornaments and commodities out of terracotta. In 1936 a change around took place. They began to produce ceramics which had enamel applied on them. In 1937 there were further changes. They started to produce casters. They wanted a major transformation and their main aim was to gradually concentrate on producing ornaments. Due to the war, they had to stop producing and continue in the postwar. After the war they mainly produced all kinds of dishes as a substitute aimed at satisfying the various needs. Soon thereafter, the demand for ornaments increased immensely again. This eventually led to an increment in export.
