Eckhardt & Engler, Hoehr-Grenzhausen When the firm “Grosshandlung” was established in 1898 in Hoehr-Grenzhausen, they first and foremost produced pewter ware. Soon thereafter, the factory concentrated more on manufacturing stoneware. In 1992 the wound up firm “Rosskopf’s” models were taken on. In spite of the restrictions imposed on them due to the war, the firm grew rapidly and eventually had a workforce of about 100 people and became one of the most important producers of refined stoneware and ceramic ornaments. Their assortment consisted of traditional pieces and contemporary objects were also added to their collection. The firm was closed down in 1971 |
