Marzi & Remy, Hoehr-Grenzhausen Anton Marzi and Simon Peter Remy founded a firm which concentrated on the production of decorative stoneware. Their firm developed quickly into an important one and hence the works which they carried out won them famous designers such as Henry van Velde, Albin Müller and Peter Behrens who had remarkable reputations. After changing their production and due to the restrictions imposed on them as a result of the war, they could only manufacture simple dishes. Then they were allowed to continue producing completely new modern structures and technical equipment after the war. Unfortunately, the company underwent some economic difficulties in the 80’s and closed down in 1990 as they were bankrupt. |
